Choosing Your Business Type

Tabby asks for your entity type during onboarding so it can apply the correct tax rules and reports.

Supported entity types

  • Sole Proprietor / 1099 — reported on Schedule C, Form 1040
  • Single-Member LLC — taxed as sole prop by default, or elects S-Corp/C-Corp treatment
  • Partnership / Multi-Member LLC — reported on Form 1065
  • S-Corp — reported on Form 1120-S
  • C-Corp — reported on Form 1120

Not sure which applies to you? You can change your entity type any time from Settings → Business Profile.
