Getting started and your account

Go to https://www.usetabby.com and choose Get started. Sign up with your email, confirm the one-time code we send you, and answer a few questions about your business. You start on the Free plan, so no card is needed.

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are set up in under 15 minutes: sign up, connect a bank, and let Tabby import. The first import of history can take up to 24 hours. After that, you spend a few minutes a week reviewing what Tabby flags.

What do I need to get started?

Your business name and type, and either your online banking login (to connect through Plaid) or statements in PDF, CSV or Excel. If you already have a chart of accounts or a customer list, you can import those too.

Check your spam or promotions folder and wait a minute, since the code can be delayed. Then request a new code. If it still doesn't arrive, email support@usetabby.com from the address you're signing in with.

Yes. You can switch between businesses from one login. Each business needs its own plan, because each one has its own bank connections, books and reports. Growth includes multi-entity consolidated reports across your businesses.

Can I invite my team?

Yes. Invite people from Settings and choose a role: Admin, Bookkeeper, Accountant (read-only) or a custom role. Free includes 1 user, Standard 1 user plus 1 accountant, Pro 3 users plus 1 accountant, and Growth unlimited users plus 2 accountant seats.

Can my accountant access my books?

Yes, and they don't pay for access. Invite them from Settings and they'll get an email link. Every paid plan includes at least one accountant seat.

Can I use Tabby for personal finances?

Tabby is built for business books. You can connect an account that mixes business and personal spending and mark personal transactions as personal, so they stay out of your business reports. Tabby isn't a personal budgeting app.

How do I change my business name or details?

Open Settings and edit your business profile. The name, address and logo you set there appear on invoices and reports.

How do I delete my Tabby account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Export anything you want to keep first. Financial records are kept for at least 7 years where the law requires it, and backups are cleared within 30 days. [Confirm] the deletion timeline.
