Can I send invoices with Tabby?

Yes. Create an invoice, add your products or services and sales tax, and send it by email or copy its payment link. Free includes 5 invoices a month; paid plans include unlimited invoices.

Can customers pay invoices online?

Yes. Connect Stripe and your invoices include a payment link so customers can pay online. Without Stripe, customers pay you the usual way and you record the payment in Tabby.

Can I create estimates?

Yes. Create an estimate with an expiry date, add discounts, and convert it to an invoice once the customer accepts. You can also collect payment on acceptance when Stripe is connected.

Does Tabby support recurring invoices?

Yes. Set an invoice to repeat on a schedule and Tabby creates each new invoice for you.

What's the difference between an invoice and a sales receipt?

Use an invoice when the customer pays later. Use a sales receipt when the customer pays on the spot. Both record the sale; only an invoice tracks a balance due.

How do I record a partial payment?

Open the invoice, choose Record payment, and enter the amount received. Tabby keeps the rest as the balance due and shows the invoice as partially paid.

A customer's payment is already in my bank feed. Do I record it again?

No. Match the bank deposit to the invoice instead. Tabby suggests matches in Review, and matching marks the invoice paid without counting the money twice.

Can I send payment reminders?

Yes. Send a reminder from the invoice. It includes the payment link and can attach the PDF.

Can I issue a credit note or refund?

Yes. Issue a credit note on an invoice to reduce what the customer owes. Choose the lines, the amount and the reason.

Can I add sales tax to invoices?

Yes. Set up your tax rates once, set a customer's tax status, and Tabby adds the right sales tax to each line. Sales tax returns aren't filed by Tabby yet.

Can I customize my invoices?

Yes. Choose a template, add your logo and brand color, and rename column labels. On a paid plan you can remove the "Powered by Tabby" footer from your PDFs.

Can I invoice in other currencies?

Yes. Invoices can be issued in USD, CAD, EUR, GBP or AUD. Full multi-currency bookkeeping is part of the Growth plan. [Confirm]

Can I send invoices from my own email domain?

Not yet. Invoices are sent from Tabby's email servers with your business name on them. Custom sending domains aren't supported.

How does Tabby track income for taxes?

Every deposit is categorized as income, a transfer, a loan or another non-income item, so only real revenue lands on your Profit & Loss. Owner contributions and transfers between your accounts are kept out of income.
